The 25th anniversary of the Victorian Premier's Design Awards was celebrated in style across two special events during Melbourne Design Week.
The Finalist Event was held at the RMIT Design Hub on Monday 21st March. This special event invited Finalists of the 2021 Victorian Premier's Design Awards to come together to celebrate being recognised as Finalists and to explore The Victorian Premier's Design Awards Showcase: Celebrating 25 years of design excellence, curated by award-winning industrial designer, Monash University academic and design historian Ian Wong. The showcase reflected on the past 25 years of the Victorian Premier's Design Awards.

The 2021 Victorian Premier’s Design Awards Ceremony was held at the National Gallery of Victoria on Thursday 24th March 2022. This special milestone event celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Victorian Premier's Design Awards. To mark this special occasion, Creative Victoria invited Finalists and guests to attend a sit-down dinner awards presentation at the NGV as part of Melbourne Design Week. The Best in Category Winners and the coveted Victorian Premier's Design Award of the Year were presented on stage by Victorian Premier’s Design Awards Jurors, the Awards Chair Celina Clarke and The Honourable Minister Danny Pearson MP.
