Celebrating the innovation, creativity and impact of Victoria’s world-leading design sector.

Victoria’s design excellence is once again in the spotlight, with the announcement of the 2025 Victorian Premier’s Design Awards Finalists, recognising the bold ideas and extraordinary talent driving the state’s $6 billion design economy.

Now in their 29^th year, the Awards celebrate the designers, architects, studios and businesses shaping a more innovative, productive, sustainable and competitive Victoria.

From cutting-edge architecture and fashion to transformative new health technologies and digital solutions, this year’s Finalists highlight the depth, diversity and ingenuity of Victoria’s design industry.

This year’s 105 Finalists represent the very best and most impactful design across eight categories including: Architecture, Communication, Digital, Product, Fashion, Service, Student and Design Strategy.

Design at the Heart of Victoria’s Competitiveness

Minister for Creative Industries Colin Brooks said the 2025 Finalists showcase Victoria’s creative thinking and talent.

“Victoria’s designers and architects are setting benchmarks nationally and internationally, strengthening our position as Australia’s cultural capital.”

Design is a key driver of Victoria’s $41.2 billion creative industries, directly employing nearly 100,000 people and contributing over $6 billion annually to the State’s economy, including $400 million in exports. It is a cornerstone of Victoria’s competitive edge, helping businesses innovate, attract investment and compete in global markets.

Recognising Design Excellence

Established by the Victorian Government in 1996, the Victorian Premier’s Design Awards honour the state’s most outstanding design and architectural practitioners, and design-led businesses.

All Finalists are in contention for the coveted Best in Category Awards and the ultimate accolade, the Victorian Premier’s Design Award of the Year, the State’s most prestigious design honour.

Winners of the 2025 Victorian Premier’s Design Awards will be announced at an official ceremony in Melbourne on Wednesday, 12 November 2025.
