Getmee AI App- Interview Ready, Soft Skills Ready, Communication Ready

Getmee / Ominio AI

Empowering global communication through AI, personalised, accessible, and transformative learning for the next generation of professionals.

Getmee AI for Ominio is a groundbreaking mobile platform that empowers non-native English speakers, job seekers, and students with advanced AI tools to build communication confidence. It provides three integrated modules, Interview Ready™, Communication Ready, and Soft Skills Ready, that simulate real-life scenarios, provide instant feedback, and help users practice at their own pace. With innovative visual features like mouth movement animations and AI-powered flashcards, it supports learning for all English proficiency levels. Getmee has introduced their AI powered technology, delivering measurable results, like a 20% improvement rate, and supporting education and employment sectors to track progress and performance.

Design Brief:

The brief was to design an inclusive, intuitive, and intelligent platform that supports professional year students, particularly non-native English speakers, in mastering soft skills, communication, and job interview readiness. The objective was to equip learners with on-demand access to real-time feedback and coaching, allowing them to prepare independently for interviews, improve English proficiency, and develop emotional and situational awareness in a professional context. Getmee’s challenge was to evolve traditional training methods into engaging, mobile-first tools that respond to individual learning needs. The solution had to accommodate beginner to advanced learners, use AI for personalised feedback, and provide organisations like universities and employment services the ability to monitor user progress. This solution needed to be innovative, scalable, and able to deliver measurable learning outcomes.

Design Process

The design process began with extensive research on barriers faced by non-native English speakers and professional year students entering the job market. Collaboration between Getmee, Ominio, and DaCodes included interviews with educators, students, and employers, resulting in a user-centred framework based on three pillars: clarity, usability, and outcomes.

Soft Skills Ready was designed with an engaging homepage offering “Learning Journey,” “Specify Your Own,” and “Random Scenario” pathways. Each scenario is driven by the SofIA avatar chatbot, offering structured roleplays, feedback loops, and emotion detection. The design supports role reversals, adaptive tone control, and visual learning tools such as completion badges and XP points. Interview Ready™ uses AI to simulate real job interviews, integrating STAR methodology, behavioral and technical questions, and alternative AI-generated responses. It delivers real-time diagnostics covering tone, speed, filler words, and sentiment.

Each session ends with a unique Interview Ready score benchmarked against the market. Communication Ready focuses on pronunciation, clarity, and energy. Features include mouth movement animations, speech speed tracking, and vocabulary flashcards for visual learners. These tools replicate Google-style pronunciation aids but enhance them with learner-specific feedback. Visual UI was developed iteratively via Figma prototypes and field-tested for accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and multicultural usability. A screen recording demo and an 87% approval rate from early users confirm the design’s usability and impact.

Design Excellence

Getmee AI sets a new benchmark in professional design excellence by merging advanced AI technology with a deeply human-centred design. Built for mobile-first interaction, it prioritises accessibility, functionality, and emotional intelligence in every learning experience.

The UI/UX integrates clear navigation, intuitive chatbot conversations, and engaging micro-learning formats. Emotional feedback, sentiment tracking, and radar-style skill charts help learners visualise and improve their communication in real-time. The design provides a seamless experience across all learning levels, from low English proficiency users using visual flashcards to advanced learners refining their tone and delivery for interviews.

Each module is fit-for-purpose: Soft Skills Ready encourages emotional intelligence and adaptability in dynamic professional scenarios. Interview Ready gives precise, actionable coaching tailored to industry-specific needs. Communication Ready uses AI to detect speech nuances, offering corrections in pronunciation and clarity, especially crucial for users with strong accents or low confidence. Safety and privacy were also prioritised, data is processed ethically, and user insights are anonymised for institutional reporting. Educational organisations benefit from custom dashboards to track student progress, promoting transparency and impact measurement.

The polished, professional design, developed collaboratively by expert UI/UX and language specialists, reflects Victoria’s design leadership. This project not only delivers elegant interfaces and real-world outcomes but also positions Victorian design as a global force in inclusive education technology.

Design Innovation

Getmee AI’s innovation lies in its fusion of communication science, AI coaching, and accessible mobile design. It addresses a major global challenge, helping non-native English speakers build communication confidence in professional settings, by delivering a world-first trifecta of coaching modules in one mobile app: Interview Ready, Communication Ready, and Soft Skills Ready. Each component leverages original design features:

Mouth Movement Animation: Inspired by tools like Google Pronounce, our solution goes further, embedding tappable, animated feedback loops to visually demonstrate correct pronunciation, tone, and articulation.

AI Flashcards: Uniquely designed for low-literacy users, these cards associate visual cues with key workplace vocabulary, accelerating word recognition and contextual use. Real-Time Interview Simulation: The Interview Ready module allows users to simulate job interviews from home, receive feedback on pace, filler words, emotion, and structure, all benchmarked against global candidate data.

Soft Skills Roleplay AI: Using a dynamic avatar and adaptive chat system, users can rehearse conflict resolution, giving feedback, or navigating complex workplace conversations with feedback tied to clarity, empathy, and assertiveness. What sets this solution apart is its user-driven adaptability, structured journeys, random surprises, or real-life simulations, they can tailor their experience. The coaching adapts to their tone, sentiment, and confidence level in real time.

The innovation is not just technical, it’s systemic. Getmee empowers organisations to embed inclusive, AI-powered coaching into their curriculum, employment training, or onboarding programs. Its unique blend of design and data sets a new standard for digital communication training worldwide.

Design Impact

Getmee AI is transforming lives, socially, economically, and globally. By empowering individuals with practical, personalized coaching, it directly enhances employability, confidence, and lifelong learning for job seekers, students, and migrants. The solution is especially impactful for non-native English speakers and international students, who often face systemic barriers to employment and workplace integration. With an 87% user approval rate and a demonstrated 20% communication improvement after just three practice sessions, Getmee delivers measurable progress.

Universities and training providers using Getmee benefit from dashboard analytics that monitor learner outcomes and identify skills gaps, making it easier to scale student support. Government-funded education and employment services can now offer real-time, mobile-first coaching, without the resource drain of in-person sessions. Getmee aligns with circular economy principles by: Minimizing the need for physical teaching resources. Reducing waste associated with printed materials. Using low-power, sustainable digital technologies. Enabling asynchronous learning that avoids unnecessary travel or infrastructure use.

Designed in Victoria, Getmee exemplifies the state’s world-class innovation ecosystem. It showcases how thoughtful, inclusive design can deliver not just tech, but transformation of people, systems, and outcomes. With global trials already underway in Mexico, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, Getmee is putting Victorian design on the international stage, positioning Australia as a leader in AI, education, and human potential.
