Minbie is a baby’s bottle teat with revolutionised design-functionality. Made of biocompatible soft silicone, Minbie offers a new level of support for continued breastfeeding and for a newborn’s digestion.

Minbie is based on 100% innovation. The July 2013 – July 2014 design innovations involved fine-tuning the functionality as well as cross-disciplinary design for the new reusable and recyclable packaging.
New lateral and longitudinal contours.
Years of design research and development have gone into the functionality of Minbie’s registered and patented design. Minbie is a new paradigm in baby’s bottle teat functionality – helping to avoid the problems for mothers and babies of a mis-match in feeding technique between breastfeeding and bottle-feeding.
Tapering nipple
Minbie’s tapering nipple is designed to sit closer to the soft palate like when breastfeeding, assisting with latching on (creating a vacuum), feeding and swallowing. A key benefit is that Minbie assists with seamless breast and bottle feeding.
Shallower upper profile towards the tip.
The shallower upper profile is designed to make it easier for baby to cup the nipple like breastfeeding. Thus supporting the baby’s natural ability to nurse the nipple.
Nipple slightly off-center just like a feeding mothers’
The nipple is slightly off-center in order to offer greater comfort for the baby and a more natural and sustainable latch-on. This helps the newborn to practice and maintain the proper latch-on ready to go back to breastfeeding.
Small streamlined bulge on the tongue side
The small streamlined bulge on the tongue-side is designed as a reference point for stabilising the teat and to assist the baby’s instinctive feeding motion. Minbie is groundbreaking in helping to maintain a newborn’s instinctive breastfeeding technique for return to breastfeeding.
Entries are judged by a panel of national and international design experts representing the diverse range of design disciplines showcased by the awards.
